is she a bird who might need the probiotics for longer times?
also, it might help to use the probiotics after the meds too, when shes all done i mean.

Yeah, I was planning on using them a little during and then after the doxycycline treatment. A good friend on TC said that it might just be the stress of all the new stuff her body is taking in. I'm going to start giving it in her water again.

Well I was planning on giving her benebac (I do with all new birds) and she started having seedy poop so I went ahead and did that. Then it went away for a day and came back so I mixed 3 acidophilus tablets into a gallon of water and gave her that and it went away. I gave her regular water for a few days and it came back. I'm sure all the stress might have her stomach upset so I'm not overly worried. I just don't like to think about how those seeds that come through are energy she could have needed.

She hasn't been tested for anything. The only symptoms she has of anything is that she is a bit thin, she has seedy poop (but she didn't have it before coming to me), she had her overgrown beak, those abnormal feathers...etc. I'll look it up to see how it matches, but that's not even treatable is it?

not really... theres no cure for it from what i read. if she tests positive for PDD its not good news as its also highly contagious.
BUT yeast infections and stress can also cause seeds in the poop and being thin... it could be the fact that shes already sick.

We'll see if she gains weight with the doxycycline treatment and diet change. Would PDD show a high WBC count?
