well we are not right on the ocean but there his the house then woods, a fence, and a BIG and HUGE field and a road around it then the ocean. the road is really long if you walk it. last night me and my mom went to the beach, one of us on the bike, the other walking. though it is a local beach it is not popular at all and you are usually the only one there. i guess the downside of it is that it is more rocky than sandy (which is not exactly a downside for me because i can collect new rocks for the fish tanks!! i already have a pile started . and one rock that i had to keep looks like a meteor! but anyways it is nice to go down there and i technically could go there on the bike any time of the day but i would be all alone.... oh and Casey, i went to a pet store around here and they had very healthy animals and they had 4 lovebirds, 2 green with peach (red) faces and 2 that were like mango! the ones like mango had either more red or a little less red on the face than mango. and the first thing i thought of when i say them (other than OMG i love those colored lovies!!!!!!! ) was hey that looks like mango!

here's some history to the detroit river en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_Riverwe hear about drownings found in the river at least 3 times a year. people try to swim and the current and undertow drags them under.
