I'm going to be away for about 11 days. I have been thinking about where Rio would be staying for 3 months already. I have went through pet shops and boarding vets and all had their own problems. I decided I'm going to let Rio stay by my aunts (she thankfully agreed to take him in). It's not going to be easy for us. I have to explain everything to them. I'm hoping Rio will be good and NOT bite them for bringing them food. I'm going to give Rio to them 2 days before I leave so I can answer all the possible problems in person. The main problem I'm concerned with is their 2-year-old child. He likes Rio and all, it's just that he can be a little rough when he's too excited. Anyways, I'm hoping I'm just overworried and maybe it will be a very smooth and easy process for everyone. About me visiting the forum, I will try my best to get on and check on everything. I'm not sure how busy I'm going to be, but I know everyone here is good so I don't need to worry at all.

I hope you have a nice time wherever you're off to I'm sure he'll be okay. Have they got experience caring for birds or a bird safe home at least? My concern would always be if people have candles or non-stick etc. As long as they're aware of it they could be respectful and not use them while he's there

Thanks!
Rio isn't near the kitchen, and they don't use any candles. They aren't bird experts, but I taught them what they needed to know for the time being. I don't want to give a huge list of things because I don't want to push the limit. I told them to just feed and change his water daily. Very minimal.

Yes. I got him a few hours ago. I cleaned everything before I put him back in his cage. The first thing he did was take a bath. His nails got sharp so I'm going to clip them tonight.
