Tsuka is a pearl split pied cinnamon whiteface. he's already got a green tinge to him from the cinnamon split lol he had a nightfright a few weeks back and now hes growing in the new flights.... but they have come in with white tips! pardon the damage from a nightfright from the other night do you think this is a health issue or a genetic mutation showing through?

I think it probably has something to do with the pied split. The pied mutation can do lots of tricky things to the feathers. Luna is split to lutino pied whiteface (and probably pearl because he had the spot gene) so I expect some tricks from him as he molts throughout the years.

pearls often have bald spots too like lutinos bald spots dont indicate a lutino split but pearls can have thin feathering behind the crest or even bald spots. these are genetic. tsuka has one too! he is a pearl

pearls get them too, because they have been badly bred in the past like lutinos, just not as severe. thats why its not the best idea to breed two pearls because it can end up with the same balding.
also, if he was plucked as a baby, follicle damage can cause bald spots too

My 2 pearls had bald spots..and Allie (wf/pied) has one, but she is molting/might've been plucked/could have bad lineage. We don't have any real background on her so I'll just have to wait to see if it fills in. Meh..the front of her crest was plucked to the point it doesn't come back so it is very possible that her bald spot is from plucking too.
