I researched that when I was taking care of Krissi, what is RPO good for again? I know I was trying to get her weight up and she had liver problems..

So Allie did it again today! I thought she had swallowed it all so I let her go and she ran off shaking her head and got it in her nares. So now she's sneezing and making those awful noises again. At least I know not to freak out this time.

Yeah they can do it themselves. The problem is that she is super stubborn, and when she does that she doesn't get the full dose of medicine.
Do you give them that stuff every day?

once in awhile for my guys. maybe once a week?
have you considered dividing the dose throughout the day so she gets a smaller amount so she doesnt keep being difficult?

I would, but she already gets the lactulose twice a day. I feel like it would be more stressful to give her the doxy twice a day since she hates it so much. And then she might get it in her nose twice instead of once a day.

it could be because shes getting a larger dose at once that shes getting it in her nose

If it keeps happening then I'll call the vet and ask if I can split the dose. But that's not much better because she'd then be getting .125 of liquid (lactulose+doxy) morning and night, which is just short .025 of the the liquid she currently gets at midday.
