Well tomorrow I'm going to learn to use a crop needle...*sigh*
But I'm also going to call the vet and ask about injectable doxycycline (once a week for 7 weeks). I'd feel best about that.

They get stuck in her throat...the liquid part goes down, but the medicine sticks and clumps up. I have to go back and clear her mouth out with a towel an hour after I give it to her. It's not good for either of us. If I don't clean it out she can hardly breathe.

I have no clue..maybe she just refuses to swallow the actual medicine part. She is stubborn enough for that. If this crop needle freaks me out too much I might try to break it into 3 doses before asking for the injectable.

is the medicine liquid? would it help to mix it up a bit more when you give it to her?
