Yeah, but she's also thin and constantly shivers. But the thinness could be from her liver and the shivers can just be her normal. The treatment is just precautionary.

I have frozen birdie bread I can try on her. Today I thawed some mash out and sprinkled seed on top and she tried to eat the seeds off and then shook her head. Lol, at least she got a taste. It was mainly veggies that had been thrown in the food processor.

my tiels arent a fan of mash either but the lovebirds usually like it. i soak pellets too and mash them up too into a paste for the mash. then mix the seed in but only the lovebirds eat it from time to time. my tiels are picky. they like carrots but ONLY as the shredded carrots or as tiny bits and pieces. and brocholli any way they eat. corn, any way. thats it. they've become picky lol at least they eat their pellets. the lovebirds eat everything else but the pellets LOL i think once quarantine is over it might be easier to introduce veggies and healthy foods to her, once she sees the other birds eating it. some information for you, if you havent already read it lol www.cockatiels.org/ownersandenthusiasts/fatty-liver-disease.htm

I think I've read every article that exists on fatty liver disease. LOL. Today I went out and got a silo feeder so that it will be a food source that will always be in her cage. I put a little bit of seed so she would learn that food comes from the dish and then I put pellets for the rest. That way pellets will always be available and I can offer her seed during intervals of the day. Maybe that will do something.

it might it is a great idea!!!
i had those feeders before, theyre ok, but i wouldnt have them as the sole feeder because they are known for getting clogged. but theyre fun foraging!
now, i just turn the plastic tube upside down and tie it to the cage and put popsicle sticks and other things like that in it for them to pull out lol they like that
if you try this, if you notice allie liking it, you can sneak in a carrot stick, but cut it really thin like a popsicle stick lol it might get her to at least try it if she mistakes it for a toy lol

Lol, what an evil plan! She still doesn't really have interest in toys though.
A funny thing I've noticed her doing (and at first I thought it was for balance), she bend over and stick her beak to the ground and then run around tail-up feeling the texture and bumps with her beak. Lol, it is very funny to watch.
And I feel like her beak is just as long now as when I got her, but maybe I just got used to the length and it's still too long. Idk, she definitely still needs a trim though.
