So, i want your opinions on the cages. what can i improve?
Tiel's cage
They have food dishes on the cage floor, except some foraging cups up top and a treat dish but the treat dish is close to the floor. Tsuka especially loves to play so i have lots of toys for them, since they can bicker over toys, i added extra so if one causes a dispute theres others to play with. i have a foraging grass mat in the back, they occasionally use it. I have a fleece ledge that they like as well. They arent the most active birds they like to relax in their cage a bit and would rather climb around than hop or flap to each perch so i placed perches close together for them and because they tend to bicker at times, i have plenty of perches at various heights so theres many to choose from.
Mango's cage
Mango likes to hop from perch to perch, he loves cuddling with his favourite toys more than anything else, he loves fleece and he loves his tent. He hasnt quite started exploring the rest of his cage without any encouragement, but he is getting there. i put newspaper in various places because he absolutely loves paper. he has a fleece ledge because he loves to relax on flat surfaces the most. he loves rope and fleece over natural perches, so i have mostly rope and soft perches for him up top but other perches down near the bottom. he loves his spiral perch lots too. he likes jingle balls a lot, his favourite game is to put them in his hamster wheel which he does run in when he feels like. he will put each and every ball inside that wheel. so he has TONS of jingle balls at the bottom of his cage. He has taken a liking to the rubber ball with holes which i stuffed with willow twigs and newspaper and he enjoys tugging at it during the day. he likes foraging, he has a foraging cup and a foraging grass mat at the bottom of the cage...
Munch's cage
She is a very intelligent bird, the most intelligent of our flock. she can escape some cages so this cage is escape proof. she cant open the feeder doors or the latch on doors. she also pulls paper out of the tray and makes a nest, so the fact that the tray is 4-6 inches below the grate, she no longer can reach the paper to do so and anything she shreds will just fall through the grate out of her reach so she cannot create a nest. she plays mostly on the cage floor so she has a longer cage than the rest, she likes the little yellow capsules from the kinder surprise eggs. i wash them for her and cut them in half and theyre her favourite small toy, along with jingle balls that she likes to roll around with and toss around. she likes beating up her stainless steel bell and she bashes it against the cage bars all day long. she likes to run around and loves to sleep under her fleece toy. she likes to swing too so she has a few swings, but her favourite perch is the one she is sitting on, where she has her bell and mirror that she loves to beat the poop out of.
what else do you think they would like? mostly looking at DIY ideas.
