i got another idea for a toy today. these are the supplies: plastic chain link (the chain came in handy with many toy making projects), jute rope. thin cotton (?) rope, beads this it the toy base (without any of the beads) this is the base, is was part of a bracelet i made. just to make it clearer of what the toy 'looks' like *add the beads* the finished toy: with this toy there are so many options with the beads etc that you want to add! i left the thin string ends kind of long so i can tighten them and the birds will probably like playing with them. for directions on the toy base (its not just a braid ), PM me and i will make a thread. for more pics of my toys go to: www.photobucket.com/thepetbarn-toys

step 1: you need 4 pieces, or 2 pieces folded in half. tie them together and separate them into groups of 2: step 2:then you want to take the rope in the far right and put it under the other one in that pair and the right rope on the left pair (going to the left) and bring it up between the left pair of rope (blue in this case). now that piece of rope should be the on the left in the right pair of rope. (its a little unclear because it is the first step) step 3:do the same to the left side, taking the left most rope and put it under the others and bring it up between the 2 [blue] ones, making it the right rope on the left pair. then repeat with the right, left, right, left etc. it will start becoming a 'circular' rope and will look like this. step 2 was just done in the pic this is a pic of the right side being done (after the left side was done) sorry if this is confusing, it is hard to explain but easy to do
