you can see its shorter than normal, it looks like a buzz cut lol but you can see some new feathers starting to grow back in. those are pin feathers. he will have more of a crest soon a lot of young birds are plucked, its totally normal, so its nothing to worry about at all he is young, for sure, but he was also plucked a bit. no the link didnt quite work

not a problem, photobucket is generally the best used here, most of our members use it .
you should have seen tsuka when i brought him home, he was rough and plucked bad lol

Makes it all easier. I'm gonna start using it more then. Its just sitting there now. ^_^;; Aww hehe. I heard of birds plucking, but I thought it was because of different causes.

parent birds often pluck the babies if they want to nest again or if they want the babies out of the nest lol or if the birds are all crammed in a cage together they may pluck eachother.

Oh! That totally makes sense now! Seven years ago we had a budgie pair and they had babies, and the mom would pluck and nip at her babies to get out. She killed some, too. Luckily we were able to save two, which are still alive today.

yeah and lovebird pairs are the same way, its common they kill babies if they dont leave the nest when the mom wants lol unfortunately they should be separated before this happens ideally but it does happen cockatiels arent known to usually kill babies that way, just pluck the heck out of some of them
