These ones were older so they stood up, but they definitely don't eat as much as tiels do!

yeah i find tiels to be lazy in comparison to lovebirds and budgies. but sometimes mellow is better... for days you just want a quiet calm day... the tiels are perfect for those days lol

The way that lovebirds move reminds me of budgies. The way a cockatiel moves is very different, they don't have that skittery look.

No they don't, they're way more calm...she had to baby lovebirds as well that were older who wouldn't sit still the whole time I was there!!! She also hand fed a baby lovebird and just as she finished the youngest tiel waddled up to her and asked for a bite lol.

lovebirds are a bit more acrobatic than budgies, but both just as active. budgies chatter more, lovebirds are louder, lovebirds are louder than tiels too

I don't think I've ever heard a lovebird call.

Lovebirds beaks are just not for me...even a budgie can bite pretty hard. We bought one for my brother last year and she bit like no other. Hadn't been handled in a while. None of his bite, they're not even sure how to nibble. They chirp more than the tiels but its not too bad!

When it comes to biting, the intention behind the beak is a bigger problem than the size of the beak, and I hear that lovebirds have a LOT of intention. Most cockatiels aren't that motivated, and pretend bites are more common than real bites.
