Just as I thought, must have been from his first clip that had been done badly at the pe tstore- clipped too far down. If they were just clip at the tip of the feathers then all those clipped feathers would have still support the new growing flight feathers. you know about the feather next to another imped to offer support so you know what I mean. The pics are interesting

Sometimes I think when birds are clipped too young it causes permanent damage and flight feathers never grow evenly again.

his clip was a proper clip, i was the one who did it, he just BUSTED all his other feathers. problem is, he had his wings when we got him, we assumed he was fledged, but he was never let out of the cage to fly before we adopted him. we got him off of kijiji and he came from a rough home. his last owners (their birds had babies...) didnt know proper care, it was all lack of education. i will just open up a thread with his story for you and post it here well he couldnt fly and i think that damaged some feathers. the other issue with the feathers was nightfrights. he would bash his wing and break feathers all the time, thats the problem with the feathers, plus they were brittle and in bad shape from his old home. they were really heavy smokers. he was clipped at 5 months old

If you could keep encouraging him to fly he may just become more calmer, it could be he may just needed to release all the tension in order to keep calm, ya never know

lol, to be honest, wearing down his energy level doesn't really make the slightest different in his temperament, I've tried this with my hormonal conure(Tai) thinking, by giving him lots of excercise this may calm him down, but it doesn't work, he is just as tense and angry when he's tired, i'm so terrified of the little bugger, he's got such a sharp and powerful beak on him haha
