no, not the bell, we sleep through that any time she rings it.
her and mango were flock calling back and forth for HOURS. was driving us both nuts lol

i love the last pic  i am slowly getting used to sleeping through the singing the the morning. my new thing to worry about is butch in the bottom of the cage pacing. he did it with lenny and now he has just begun to do it with leon  |

i wouldnt worry too much, it just means he wants out of the cage. besides, soon they will be able to share a cage  |

Butch and Leon will always have their own cage, the 4 new ones will share a cage. Bowie might have his own cage because of his foot, but I will see how every one is when they go together

hmm... why wont they share the new cage? just curious as to why lol maybe let leon and butch share their own cage at least, they seem to really like eachother lol

well the combined cages will be just for the new ones. as for butch, he can get bullied and he is challenged when it comes to coming out (like the "wheelchair ramps i was talking about) and so it is easier to get him out of his cage which the whole front opens, than getting him out of the combined cage where door will just be in the middle. he also likes simple cages- as in he doesnt get stressed out be odd branches (totally different story when they are in his cage) or rope ladders or lots of toys. so it is just better for his mental state. leon would probably love to hang out with everyone but his cage is a house shape and so adding to it would be harder, if i was using the same method as the other ones. this could change in the future, but i am sticking with it for now. and leon is the only one that will probably be willing to come out a small door- all the other cages will have a big door and the jumbo cage will have a big door on the front and back. the way i combine them is unfolding them so the back (of the single cage) are on the sides and the front and back (of the big cage) are actually the front and sides of the single cage. the roof is both tops from the small cages and the bottom grates that i wont use. i dont know what i will do for the bottom of the cage yet- maybe lift it enough to slide papers under it, but not enough for anyone to slip out.  i am planning of adding lots of toys and different perches, mostly ones that bowie and stand on and a flat perch for him too. i also like leons cage having a little shelf so i can let him out to play with out putting him on the tree it looks different now and it has a foraging bin on it and his big mirror that he loves to push off the edge   |
