Yeah like a milk snake ? He was ALWAYS looking for trouble haha! Crufts starts on the 5th of March and ends on the 9th. I'm going on Friday 6th as it is the working dog day and I'm big on collies I said to myself after losing my border collie of 18 years that I definitely wouldn't have another. Since then I've ended up with a similar herding dog called a Mudi and two border collie x papillons! I wanted a pug Yeah I'm getting the GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition. It films in 4K. They did an amazing compilation video of people's videos made with them on their channel ~

Yes! It's the milk snake!! I never knew they were called milk snakes actually. Is he Darwin? Sorry, I lost track of who is who. I have always wanted a pug when I was small. I actually still do but not so much anymore. I'm more into these crazy parrots now. The quality on the video you posted is really professional. I'm so excited! I hope your going to take some vids of your aviary parrots and share 'em with us.

Yeah I will be, especially as the new aviaries go up I hate filming them now because they're around 12 or so years old so they're looking worse for wear. They do the job, but they're made up of all sorts because we've had weather damage etc. over the years. I'll be having my new aviaries aluminium though so they will look really good and considerably more professional You can see in this video how damaged the aviary is, especially with the wood being chewed on All of the money I'm going to make from selling the babies I have this year is going straight into building the new block and budgie aviary. I'm excited. It may take a long time and it will be a lot of work but it's going to be so worth it. I was going to buy my aviary from here ~ rosemeadaviaries.co.uk/gallery.html I see them at all of the parrot shows I go to and the quality can't be argued with I love milk snakes! I hope to add a Nelson's milk snake to my collection at some point. They just have amazing and striking colours. And you should still get a pug if you want one! The only reason I've not had one yet is because they cost thousands to buy and I would be concerned about health care for them knowing they can suffer with so many problems. I'd rather be more financially prepared for a dog that could have so much go wrong with him/her. That said, my dogs have cost me a fortune in the last few years I've owned them! My older dog, Shep, never had a thing wrong and the only thing that was expensive was having him PTS. The dogs I have now have been an absolute pain in the butt, especially Bailey, one of my pups. She's gone to the vets over bloody stools, her weight problems (she can't put on weight) which required loads of blood work and testing only to find out there's nothing wrong with her, she jumped on my cat who then clawed at her eye so I had to take her in to have her eye fixed up as she'd cut clean across it The elderly dog I adopted, Candy, isn't too bad but she's given me a few scares that have cost me a fortune. Last year? I think it was, she got bit on the mouth by a European adder (viper) and I had to take her in to the vets as an emergency. I told the vets what she should be treated with and they didn't so about 12 hours later I had to have out of hours vet servicing which cost a small fortune only for them to give her what I said she originally needed! Needless to say I'm not with those vets any more I worked at a vets for some time so if I need anything done on exotics I go there with a discount haha. But yeah, these guys have all given me grief more than a pug ever would I reckon!

Oh and yeah he's Darwin! The companion flock was ~ Samson ~ Alexandrine parakeet Kona ~ Alexandrine parakeet Clyde ~ Orange winged Amazon parrot Darwin ~ Black capped lory Malibu ~ Lesser sulphur crested cockatoo (adopted from the rescue my fosters were from) Dexter, Pickles and Perry ~ Green cheek conures Harvey ~ Cockatiel My fosters were ~ Pip ~ Blue Mountain Swainson's lorikeet Lory ~ Green naped lorikeet Jake ~ Yellow streaked lorikeet Dusty ~ Dusky lory Pickles passed away when psittacosis was bought in the house from the Hahn's macaws I fostered. Malibu went back to the rescue when we had our gas leak. Dusty only stayed with me for 10 days as he had come to me with very late stage fatty liver disease and had been in the hospital for around a week before I had him. They shouldn't have carried out the adoption to be honest but I won't say what I think of that rescue Everybody else I lost at the same time. I hope that clears things up a little bit better! In between birds I have rescued and taken on all sorts that have had issues and may no longer be with us but some breeding birds I have bought and rehomed to more ideal situations so I no longer have them (a pair of parrotlets). I also rehomed my peach faced lovebirds to a girl I knew had a large aviary just specifically for peachies. I felt they'd be happier in an already established flock as none of mine got on and well now they're really, really happy. I miss them terribly but it was the right thing to do. I also took on a black capped conure and a green cheek conure couple who needed to be rehomed immediately. I kept them in the aviary for a while, then moved them inside because I felt the black capped wanted more attention but then neither situation was ideal because they were the complete opposite of one another. I rehomed them to somebody I felt could give them what they needed. I have had a lot of birds but I think it looks so much worse on you when you have a large collection, especially of rehomes and rescues, and you get birds pass away and every now and then but the thing is, that's exactly what it is. A large collection. The more animals you have the more likely they're going to pass away. Not because of living conditions or anything but just because you have more than somebody with say 2 birds would have. Most of my birds live outdoors so they deal with the weather and things too whereas most people keep theirs as indoor pets. My birds are happier outside so I know where I'd rather keep them!

I came up with this odd saying a few years ago, "Budgies are like gumballs, small, colorful and cheap!" You can't help but get a few of the silly things.

I freakin' love your aviary set up! I want my aviary to look so colorful and full like that! I'm so jealous. I love how budgies have such a hyper personality. I want a budgie but I like to stick to one species. I feel like my cockatieks match my personality a lot.

I think it's such a shame that a lot of people overlook them as beginners birds. I've kept them for about 12 years or more and I couldn't be without them!

I love having all of the toys and things in there but the aviary itself needs to come down ASAP. I cannot wait to have an aluminium flight, they look soooo fancy haha
