I have a stomach bactiria infection and I would like to know if it's safe to play with my birds.

That's weird. My tummy hurts today too.
Honestly, just to be safe, I would keep to yourself. I think bacteria can be transferred to birds and viruses are something that they won't catch. I could be wrong though.

I just read online that it is contagious to people and animals. You are right.
I'm really not feeling well. I'm in the hospital from yesterday afternoon to right now. Thank you for the response. I hope your stomach feels better.

One more question:
Am I allowed to at least change the birds food? I don't think anyone in my family would do it until I recover. Should I avoid breathing when I'm in the aviary?

Maybe you could wear one of those masks at the doctors. And if you touch the dishes, I guess you can wipe them down with sanitizer. Just to be safe.

I haven't even thought about touching them. Thank you for mentioning that. I'll wear gloves because Its less complicated than to sanitize 7 dishes a day. I'll get those masks as well.
