Anyone else having molting birds? There are feathers everywhere. It sort of looks like a bird got attacked. At least I can use this as an opportunity to collect as many tail feathers to make a preening toy. I already have around 8 tail feathers.

Nope. Mine are all done molting. I can imagine with 9 birds it looks like a feather tornado during molting season though.

it really does. Its crazy here. After a couple of hours after sweeping the floor, there are already a bunch of feathers all over the floor. Maya lost her first clipped flight feather which is good because I'm waiting for her wings to grow back.

Mine just finished with the spring molt. It was amazing go many they lost! I collect all of the flight and tail feathers- is anyone else a feather hoarder I haven't found a really good craft to use them or a good way to desolate them

I had a Spring moult and now I'm having a Summer one. I was about to pair up some birds the other day to bring inside for breeding and I noticed they were all angry little pin cushions. Have to wait a bit now haha!

My birds are still molting but it's much less. Maya actually grew a flight feather on one side of the wing. Shelly, I am a flight and tail feather hoarder.

I zip tie the ends of the tail feathers very tightly and hang it with string. It comes out looking great. It's very simple.
