Hmm.I don't really think so. Jenday's and sun's look the same as babies. The suns molt in more yellow at their first molt and continue to do so until the age of 2. Either way, Jendays are gorgeous too and i won't love him any less just because he has green instead of yellow. Im actually curious now to see what bird he really is. Im not sure how the pet shop declared him a sun at such a young age. We'll wait and see.

Very very true. Tango is a mystery until his first molt then!

I did some research and think Tango will be a sun conure. It said Suns have an orange and red face while jendays have an only yellowish orange face. Im also pretty sure Jendays don't have any yellow on shoulders. Im not 100% sure. Don't quote me on that.
I'm guessing Tango is a boy.

If Tango gets reddish belly feathers then it's safe to assume he's a jenday. But if there are more orange than red then you're right, he's a sun.

I'm noticing more orange than red but ill still keep a lookout because he hasn't finished getting his chest feathers yet. He is most probably a sun.

He's a sun conure, I'm 99.99999999999999999% certain haha. Jenday conures don't have that yellow on the shoulders. His front will go a yellowy green colour for some time whereas Jendaya tend to go more yellow once they've fledged. I can already see that green wash coming in just around his throat. He's getting SO gorgeous. I LOVE his fluffy cheek photos

He could be a hybrid? My Sunday has yellow splotches on his feathers and acts more sun than Jenday, very clownish. I'll try to get him in a photo today.

You bought the bird as a baby so I imagine you would know the breeder, I'm sure you know that he's a sun

I bought him from a pet shop but the pet shop must have bought him from a breeder. If the breeder said he is a sun, then I'm most certain the is a sun. The breeder did breed them after all.
