My Sunday conure steals my food and runs it away with it, I've taken apple turnovers out of his beak and Cheetos, he loves Cheetos but I cut him off lol my Jenday doesn't do this so maybe it's a Sun thing?

Lol. That's pretty funny. He is definitely clowny. I don't think it's because he's a sun. I'm thinking it's more of his individual personality. Is your Jenday more calmer than your sunday?

Oh I see. Maybe he doesn't like fruits as much as vegetables and seeds. Have you tried pretending to eat a seed to see if he would try and steal it from you? What's his favorite food?

I don't have any problems with my conures and different foods. Chicos favorite food is Cheetos (lol). My Jenday likes tangerines and apple slices. They get Tropical Carnival mix for small hook bills in the am or either that Bonanza gourmet but they like that less and also fresh fruits and veggies. They eat Zupreem pellets nut, veggie and fruit blends mid afternoon and then for the rest of the day.

I try to vary their diet with many different things. They love Tropical Carnival mix! I don't really fancy the peanuts or sunflower seeds in it which I think the mix could do without but overall it's pretty good commercial stuff. For a mix like that I'd prefer Bountiful Harvest from mysafebirdstore but it's not always practical for me to order it In.

Peanuts and sunflowers have fat in them but it's OK to have it in their diet as long as they aren't only eating seeds and nuts that are high in fat. How much does the Tropical Carnical mix cost? I might get them if Higgins Supreme doesn't have conure seeds in bulk.

Oh and the only thing about shopping at Petco is that you may end up coming home with another Sun or Jenday or maybe even a Green Cheek  . |
