Glad to have you! Yes, I'm Stephanie and B is the other admin. We run it together. Your sunday is gorgeous! I am a conure fan myself. Blue crown conures are my favorite birds.

Blue crowns seem to be popular, a lot of people swoon over them. I don't know much about blue crowns. The popular parrots to own where I live are Indian Ringnecks and Ekkies.

I love indian ringnecks too. I'm in Sacramento, and there are 2 bird stores here, so I have no ideas what's popular. I've got anywhere from parrotlets to hyacinth macaws. Basically I've seen every hookbill but a kakapo and a kakariki.

There's a lot of species a lot of people didn't know exist hehe. I find it sad that over in the US the kakarikis aren't popular. I keep red fronted and have also kept yellow fronted. They're AMAZING birds and very underrated. People often overlook them because they're not overly hands on but having bred them I've found them a really exciting bird to keep!

I know what you mean haha, all of the commonly and sometimes uncommonly kept species that are obtainable in captivity ? I'm very lucky in saying that I HAVE seen most species, except for one which I do have the opportunity to see in a few years as I missed it a year or so ago. Spix's macaws! I couldn't afford to make the trip out last year? I think it was but every 4 years I get the opportunity so I will certainly be going next time How hilarious are Kea? They're crazy and so intelligent

Kea are brilliant.
Now that I think about it, I have seen a spix's macaw. I do remember, but I was sort of young, like 8 or 9 and that was before I was into birds, so it wasn't much of a big deal then.

Hmm... I can't tell you actually. It was some zoo/wildlife park thing, but I was sort of young and we were doing a massive traveling trip. We went from California to Nevada, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Somewhere in between those places.
