Hello, I'm new here, I found this board one night in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep. I kept coming back here because I liked the layout and thought it was cute! A little about me and my fids, I have two loud conures, one semi loud conure and three lovebirds, one yellow, one peach faced and a turquoise or aquamarine baby about 8 weeks old. Other than that I like to read historical fiction books and collect sea glass among other things. Great to be here!  |

Welcome to the forum!  What kinds of conures do you have? I recently bought a baby sun conure and I already noticed a huge personality in him. I have noticed how loud they actually are. Thanks for the reply! I have a Jenday and a Sun/Jenday cross hybrid and also a GCC yes they are loud and when the two get going it can be ear splitting lol Congrats on your new baby Sun! |

Do you have any pictures of your Sunday conure? I'm interested in seeing him/her. Let me tell you about the other members here. We have Bluekeet who is the other admin, Daisy who is an active member, and Shelly who pops in from time to time. Its a small but very friendly bunch. We're glad to have you on here as well. |

I do have photos of the Sunday but I'm trying to get a most recent one, unfortunately my bossy Jenday wants to steal his limelight and gets in the way of the photos. I'll try again today. The Sunday is a dna'd male named Chico.

I'm not really sure how I found this board but I'm glad I did! I think I might have been looking up lovebird mutations or something like that. I wanted to know what mutation baby Trinket is, I know I won't know until first molt but I'm unsure of his present coloring if it is turquoise, aquamarine or what it is. I don't think the feather coloring will change much but then I don't know as I've never had a lovie so young before. He was hand fed but when I brought him home but he regressed slightly so I've been giving him cream of wheat by syringe twice daily, but I think I can knock it down to one morning feed now.

Sunday conure, about 6 months old. Doesn't have all of his coloring yet.

Oh my. He is gorgeous! It looks like your lovebird had a relapse with weening. Its not uncommon for parrots to relapse but it is frustrating when it does happen. Good luck with weaning!
