i added some more branches to my trees they birds love it even more! Ace really loves chewing on the thin branches.

and just for the heck of it... lets take it way back to when the first tree was set up.... things have changed!!


and to take it WAAAYYYYY back.... when the first tree was cut. i still can't believe how this ended up to be what it is today

That's amazing! I would like to add a tree to the middle of my aviary and put perches on the corners of the aviary. I think it would look really awesome. How do you get the tree to stand? Also, what do you use to add more branches?

the trees are leaning against the wall. when i only had the one tree, i had it tied to some command hooks to keep it in place. it turned out that those hooks are LIES... eventually the peeled the paint off, and now there is bare drywall. every time i used a hook, it ripped the paint off so, now they are free standing. when i add branches, i just tie them on with cotton string. sometimes they need to be retied, but its no big deal. sometimes i will add vertical branches so i can add more horizontal ones- like i did on the left tree, you can see the vertical ones i added. so far it is all holding up. the main enemy is the poop. i clean them weekly with vinegar, but the trunks i tend to leave because the bark is so rough that it is impossible to clean.
