Mine are a hyacinth and a Chestnut-fronted macaw. Some would argue that macaws are not "parrots", but they are apart of the family. Lol.

Macaws ARE parrots. Whoever said that must not know that much about birds. To be classified as a parrot, the bird must have a hook bill beak with zygodactyl, which means two toes point in the back and two point in the front. To be classified as a parakeet, they must be a small to medium sized parrot with a long tail. All parakeets are parrots, but not parrots are parakeets.

I guess large species would be referring to most Amazons, macaws, cockatoos etc? Sometimes it's hard to draw the line between small and large haha. I would say my favourite is either the red tailed black cockatoo or the blue throated macaw
