I'm wondering what the members and staff feel about their groups. Do you tend to visit online forums, or Facebook groups more? Is there anything about one of them that sticks to you more?
I personally like the online forum format. We have more control over designs, have more features (like the award system), and the categories make things more organized. I can see how Facebook groups can be more successful at times though, because people tend to already go on Facebook.
What's your opinion? Discussions are welcomed.

I'm a member of about a million and one different Facebook groups but I rarely find myself commenting in them. I've found them considerably harsher than forums and less moderated. There tends to be a lot of bullying and admins aren't usually there to stop it quick enough. It is quicker and easier, as you can do it on your phone from the app (I know you can with forums too) but eh, it's not for me. I like to browse through every day, I just don't comment or post myself

I find fb easier, easier find members, to post pictures n other stuff. Unfortunately forums nearly impossible to keep super active.

I like forums better. Facebook is too disorganized and has too many pointless threads. Plus their search function really sucks and it's almost impossible to find an old thread later on. Facebook does seem to be popular nowadays and that's where I have to go for certain groups, but I don't like it.

Honestly, I like forums better as well. I don't really feel like I have much control over anything on Facebook. I don't really like it. Unfortunately, forums are much harder to get active nowadays. I remember years ago, forums used to be such a big deal. It's eh nowadays.

I think it's since Facebook started the groups, for sure. There's a group for just about anything and everything. I'm only really in animal groups but again, I just observe

Facebook irritates me. Mostly poorly run groups full of spam. Forums are better. Facebook is used mostly for advertising this group however, so it does have it's use.
