I have two new scaly babies living with me as long term fosters. They came to me and Jack a couple of weeks ago. They belong to his sister. Marge is in her teens but they aren't sure how old and Rex is around 3. Marge was a rescue and Rex was a rehome. I think he's a German giant because I've never seen such a beefy beardie! They're staying with us until about 2018-2019. I imagine they won't end up being fosters! http://instagram.com/p/BI2n8Sphj5p Rex murdered some raspberries the other day http://instagram.com/p/BI2oGb3BBAI

My friend has a german giant. He's huge (also a little overweight but). Seriously. He's a big boy. I love beardies, though I've always been more of a snake person. They're so adorable. I like holding my friend's beardie.
Congratulations. You've got to stop getting animals man. You're making me jealous.

See I think I'm more of a snake person because of the convenience of them (that sounds really bad doesn't it?). They mostly have much easier requirements and don't eat half as much. I am, however, a HUGE fan of monitors and tegus. I am downsizing our bedroom so I can have the larger room and accommodate large lizards haha! I really like my blue tongued skink. They're a little different looking and just as fun as a beardie but they tend to get dismissed for dragons I can't believe how much bigger he is than a normal beardie. I don't think he's full German but he's still really big. Maybe 25-50% or something. His head is massive. He also eats just about anything you put in front of him You should definitely get one

Aww. Too sweet!! I like frogs and chameleons, but I'll probably not get any since they are insectivores.

Do you have a bug phobia? Because I'm not massively keen and I have ways of feeding the insectivores haha. If I'm feeding worms I just use long tweezers and if I'm feeding crickets/locusts I just throw them in. I won't touch them with my hands haha

I don't think I have a phobia. I just get really grossed out. I don't like handling them. I don't think tweezers will make a difference.

Are there any species you're interested in? That don't eat bugs I mean! What about crested geckos?

I've always been like it! I have no idea why. I used to be really bad and then I held a Chile rose T, a giant millipede and a few others. I don't mind inverts at all and I think they're amazing to look at. It's just the feeder bugs haha. I used to have a little breeding colony of Dubia roaches but they bred so quick and I didn't have enough lizards so I fed them off. I found them adorable
