well i've changed around the cages so now everyone has larger cages.
Mango and Munch were kept in the same kind of cages 19"x19"x27" for a year now (when i first got them they had similar sized cages)
since moving the tiels into their new cage, i gave mango their old one which is 30"Wx18"D36"H
I combined Mango and Munch's old cages together to give a really long one to Munch (now 54"L 19"D 19"H) because she uses the most floor space and plays with a lot of foot toys where Mango uses height and floor space so I gave him the taller cage.
Munch is bold and has settled into the new cage and has been exploring the rest of the cage over the last week, she seems to enjoy the new space, though she is still settling.
Mango however seems to be really unsure of his new cage. He just sits by his "girlfriend" all day (his ball) and only leaves to eat and drink. I have put spray millet at other places in the cage, he goes to it but once its done he goes back up to his favourite perch. To me he is nervous of the new cage and doesnt seem to really know what to do with it. It's been a week, I expect him to take time to settle since he is the most timid of our birds but is there any way to help him out? i put some fun stuff he loves at the bottom of the cage (he loves to put jingle balls into his running wheel) and added all the fun things he had in his old cage plus some new ones. He sleeps in his tent at night and sits on the perch in front of it. He seems happy, it's just like he doesnt get he has a lot more space than he used to have. His old cage he settled into within a week and was all over the place with it.
This is his new cage
This is his old cage
This is his favourite game by the way
