i came home from watching a movie and found munch stuck in her toy it was a toy jingle ball with a bell inside, seemingly unreachable. well i had it hung up with a plastic chain. she somehow got a hold of the bell inside, got her beak tip stuck inside and was stuck like that and couldnt get out. i dont know how long she was like that considering i was gone for several hours, she may have been stuck when i was at work too i didnt notice her stuck before but she could have been. her seed bowl was fuller than it usually is at this time, so i think she has been stuck for several hours she is ok, her beak has a few marks on the tip of it though and shes feeling her beak funny now that shes free. i removed the toy she wont be getting it back and i will be personally removing the bells of each jingle ball from now on. so warning to those who have these as toys, remove the bell as accident prone individuals may find things stuck where they dont belong.

Ciao Casey, thanks for this warning; Could you post a picture of the jingle ball?; I'm imagining it like a big ball, where on the tip there is a kind of hook;however I'm not sure that I have really understood what the jingle ball really is.

she is ok, just took a slight chip off the tip of her beak, like she peeled it. this is a jingle ball (its a toy you can buy for cats but many people buy them for birds) she managed to get at the bell that is inside the toy, she got her beak stuck in the little loop it has So ive gone through each and every ball i had in their cages and removed the bells from them The damage to her beak (it isnt bothering her) you can see the tip had some peeling from the damage

poor Munch...Now I have understood how it is happened the accident; There is not a real wound on the beak; I believe the part that has been peeled will grow back soon.

its more of peeling rather than a wound, but its still scary i can imagine how scared she was being stuck like that for so long.
