well a lot has been going on. i have been keeping up with lennys training (read my thread "lennys millet addiction"), i took some pics of him going to my in the cage with the millet. i also fixed a ladder this morning. it was broken since i had pumble and i fixed it them with toothpicks and masking tape (pumble never chewed it). i wanted to start using it so i used some jute rope and beads (and millet afterwards) to make it more appealing to the fids. before: after: and lenny was the first to see the millet on it after i put it in the cage. first he sat on the perch and looked at it for a while: then he started eating!: here are some other pics from yesterday... playing with the water (i cleaned and put the seeds back in one of the containers when they were done:) ) getting sleepy... butch itching his head due to new feathers sleepy lenny singing to butch (they always do this, but they usually do this together at each other and they are usually more awake)

hehe well this is the pretty side of things. lenny is a little too dominant some times and tries to take butch's spot in the perch. then i have to get involved and yell at him. but i know deep down they love eachother- the proof? in the morning and during the day they do an intense synchronized dance and they kiss each other and play with the others beak. i am considering putting them in seperate cages when they are able to come out, you know, because of lenny being dominant probably because of butchs tumor which hasnt grown and he is doing great!!

maybe add in some rope perches as well as some natural branches, add 2 smaller branches at the same height up top. this will give them both the height they want but they have their own spot. works with my two tiels who bicker at times over perches

They are so beautiful!! I adore the budgies, even if these pics generate inside to me a little bit of sadness because they remember me Filippo; He was a great bird ; I have had him for 4 years and after I was so stupid to provoke his death; Yes I left from Turin for some days to go in Slovakia for job trip; I was so stupid and I forgot to fill his seed dish; I can't forgive myself!! You are lucky to have them;

You are lucky to have them; i am so sorry. i dont i will ever forgive myself either. i just didnt have the heart to disturb pumble when he was sleeping in front of his 3 favorite mirrors to put him back into his just- cleaned cage, then i went to the bathroom and i hear a scream, rush down the stairs to find him in my cats mouth. before that moment i never knew what it felt like to have so much of a mixture of feeling that you dont know what to do. i just kept throwing myself on the floor and crying. the worst part is, my friend got her 2 first budgies the day before ( :-X ), and the day after pumble died she just kept talking about her new ones. it was very hard not to cry that day i just cant wait for that moment when the fids are bonded to to me and i can take them out all day long and have an animal that i can not get upset at (unlike my devil rabbit ) and i will be truly happy ;D
