lenny's first time out!!!! ~pics (624 views)

today was the day i decided to take lenny out. i got all the 'out of the cage' perches and little 'tree' and i took my little leonard out!!! i put him on top of of the cage and he didnt fly away and he wasnt in as much shock as he was with all the other times he accidentaly came out. the moment was priceless in my eyes i could tell he wasnt afraid of me, he was more afraid of the perch than me. he would come after a while to get some millet from me. i tried to bring him once over to a ladder, and he got one foot on it them flew to the window. this time he got on the petch to go back to butch after calling to him ;D. then he spent more time on the cage top and then wanted to go back and went sown the back of the cage an i finally got him on the perch and put him back. i ended with millet and made them give me kisses and i took them back to my room. i am going to take him out again later today! i hope butch will get on the perch soon!

yes it is! now that i know that he is calm and doing "ninja moves" around the room i will take him out every day and i will work the butch. them they can both come out and i can clean the base of their cage ( i used to do it every few times i cleaned it with pumble, but not it is so dusty from the fids and the paper shavings, and it the base hasnt been cleaned since december). i am getting that feeling back, the same feeling i had when i would come home and i couldnt wait to take pumble out! i am just in an all around good mood. even my slightly devilish rabbit was being good today ;D

i tried this morning to take him take him out, and he usually puts one foot on the perch but he didnt want to when lenny was out. probably thinking that something bad will happen to him.... and he doesnt like when the perch moves ~ challenge #2!

well he may be a more nervous bird than lenny

i think his past life was pretty tough. he might come around when i start bonding with lenny more.
