well do what is best by your birds, you know them best just cover part of the cage, even if its by taking a sheet of cardboard and tying it on part of the cage that is facing the window, maybe cover half one side vertically? it will hide the sun if needed, and if something does spook him, he has somewhere to hide behind

well as long as he is is in the cage he is fine. it is just when he is on the open window sill and outside the cage. i will work with him and he will eventually get used to the window
