i just picked up the new cage and pit it together. i tried to put the same toys in it for now so it wont be to bad of a transition for lenny. i am planning to get their wings and nails clipped on sunday and then some time during the week i will attempt to put him in there they will both be getting big mirrors too so they arent lonely the cages where they will be in my room (sorry its a little messy, there is just no where to put things now that fish supplies have taken over.... those are just a few of the tanks the window spot is where the fids usually are.)

they look great! have you put them in the separate cages yet?
just careful with direct placement in front of the window, the sun can cause heat stroke and over heating with the birds, is there a way to block off part of the cage so he can get out of the sun if he wanted to?

i am going to separate them next week if i can get lennys wings clipped on sunday (because he flew away last time). that is a north window so no sun comes in. my other window it is the west window and that gets the afternoon sun but it never goes in the cage.

pumble used to always sit on the window all day. he would just stay there and i would go outside and say hi from the other side of the widow. his wings were clipped and the cat wasnt in. those were the happy days. i am still trying to figure out if lenny will like the window. he has bee on there once but then gets all skinny when a bird flies through the yard or the blue jay sings. even my rabbit doesnt like the blue jays

compliments for your new cage.. I don't think your room is messy if (a day) you will see my room, then you will understand what really means a messy room ..

then see how butch will do as it doesnt sound as if its gonna be good for lenny, it may stress him out more

when butch has the chance to come out when he is trained, then i will put him on the window and see how he likes it. butch is actually a lot more brave and isnt afraid of that much. as long as he can do his eye pinning, he is happy. thats kind of why he doent go all the way on the perch, is because he is dong his eye pinning

then i would put Butch in the window instead of Lenny if Lenny is known to be more skittish and nervous, it might stress him out too much. maybe a more relaxed view of the fish tanks would be good for him instead

oh.. hold on.. i was confused a few posts back: lennys fine in the cage by the window (loves it) but he is more.. cautious... when he is out of the cage on the window. he was only on the window once and that time throughout the whole session he wanted to go see butch instead. i think he will get the window and butch will get the tanks because lenny seems to do better in the "in the cage training" (i do in my room) after he has been near the window. yesterday they were by the tanks all day
