tiels are kinda like that, they like to find a spot to sit and relax. mine fly around in short bursts, then sit down and preen and nap lol the lovebirds are all over the place though

I know, when ever I see videos of lovebirds they're always on the move, tiels are much more relax. My senegal is a bit in between active and relax, when I let Duke out he usually have a few burst out moments of flight frenzy, it's like as if he has to let out all the stored up energy inside him. My conures are always on the move, not all conures are active though, I have seen some really relax conures, totally opposite to my guys.

maybe its the "flock", i find some birds are more active when they have other birds around

You may have a point there! I got bit again by Tai today and I think that it's maybe something to do with this 'flock' thing too- he wouldn't have bitten if he is single bird- when he's in a flock he's more comfident and think he is tough.
