sometimes it depends on the birds. dally wanted to be played with from day one, and tsuka was out with us his first day too and so were the lovebirds. mine have all been fairly adaptable, except mango who is STILL nervous about the bottom of the big cage, and hes been there for several months now

speaking of the bottoms of cages, today butch kept going to the floor of the cage (which now has paper on the bottom rather than shredded paper now) and he kept going down there and walking around..... he's never done it before either ???

he might like to play on the bottom of the cage, put in a ball and see how he reacts with it

i will try that but i just find it weird that all of a sudden he goes down there and starts running and pacing. maybe he was looking for lenny, even though lenny was in the same room, just like any other day.

mine pace too, usually it means they want out of the cage. next time he tries it, try letting him out by stepping up first it might be a good way to work with him. he might want to come out and to do that he has to step up

i will try, he might go back ti the perch though because i always make him go back when he is on the bottom or clinging to the side of the cage
