hey guys
i was going through Wikipedia and i was reading a wiki page about cockatiels, apparently there is a mutation that i've never heard of before which is a Cara Black, i was just wondering how do they look like ? have u guys ever seen any ? have ever heard of them?
i tried searching for pictures on google but i cant find any. it would be awesome if we can get to know this mutation.

from what i have heard, there has been such thing as a black cockatiel, which was a totally black, with no white wing bar, but they did not live long at all (tops maybe 1-2 years from what i've been told) and they are very unhealthy and do not thrive. thats as much as i can tell you though

hmm that would be cool but a little creepy- like that cockatoo... black palm 'too, or something like that. that are really pretty, but after seeing a videos of one on youtube, it reminded me of death

i loved how pretty the black toos are, but thats a species, not a mutation like the colours are with cockatiels. just like cockatiels are a species of cockatoo

what ive heard, the theory is that the wing bar place a part with the immune system of the tiel.. when it was removed for an all black bird, it made them sick

woow amazing isnt it ?
but it makes me sad how people try to "create" a new mutation of an animal

some mutations are fine, but i do not think the black mutation should be developed further because it is not a healthy mutation at all. im not 100% sure it exists, but this is what ive been told...
