munch actually does it at a quieter tone though shes got the sound spot on, i like when she does it its actually a pleasant sound when she does it, not ear piercing.

The parrots are able to imitate the sounds; it's very funny; what's the why they learn the sounds? I think it is linked at their primordial instinct. What do you think about it.

maybe it is an instinct thing, maybe in the wild they need to blend in to their surroundings so they learn other noises to help stay inconspicuous. thats my theory anyways

It's strange, these animals have the need to hide themselves in to their surroundings but they are completely colourful; so it's hard to be not noticed.. maybe what you wrote is used just as compromised to be less discovered by the predators. I'm wondering; how many predators are able to eat an amazon?

oh my gosh!! I believe you are right; all the animals have to be mimetics as much as they can; maybe the parrot's weapon is to learn the sounds of their enviroment for being less inconpicuous. I like your theory..
