yeah that would make you super busy D: well for now so he doesnt spook so easily, place it by his cage until you eventually move it inside well i think i will keep lennys perches for his cage. i cut some thick straight branches for butch but i need to wash (another ting for the list )and some how attach them... petsmart has some nice ones but they are either too long or a little to short. i could always get a long one and cut it but that would be more expensive and i am already going to spend a lot of $$ on other supplies... and i have $30 set aside for another bird. truthfully, though i really miss taking lenny out and training him, i want another bird for butch, not for me. he is just so much happier. of course i want another bird to train, but that is the second reason why i want one

trying to. in the end i probably will not be able to get one > i trained butch today and his training is still going down hill. he rarely even puts one foot on the perch. i tried 3 times to push the perch into him and he go on the first time, the second time he was a little hesitant, and the third time he stepped over it so it was between his legs and we was tripping over it

the small petstore sell hand tame and hand fed so i was going to try there. they also have really pretty colors unlike the chain stores

i would definitely check them out and see if any of the birds stand out to you that would be a good match for Butch our petstore always has gorgeous budgies.

i wish i could have some zebra finched too becasue butch was with them at the shelter and he would sometime sing like them lenny would do like a tiel whistle, which i always wondered if he was calling his mate or friend

yes. and he would sing more and probably get better in training again. and it would give me a little buddy for my shoulder again

it would, and maybe eventually get you TWO shoulder buddies butch may warm up to you more with a tame bird around
