..and probably last time out too....
but anyways! yesterday butch came out for the first time to "play" with leon. I decided it was time to clip his one flight feather and place him on the tree. After being a pro at catching him for meds, i tried to catch him again, in which he flew out on to my bed and flapped around until i caught him and clipped him. Then i placed him on the tree with leon. They sang for a while and he seemed happy, though eon got a little over whelming at times for him. leon got a little too close to him and butch was on the edge so i was going to move him but they both flew to the floor. i got leon on my finger but butch was just so scared and didnt want to move i eventually got him on a perch (which i was surprised at how fast he got on) and i put them on the tree again. i gave leon his other favorite toy to play with while butch processed what happened
he was all skinny and panting like he always does when he is scared, but he didnt stop so i put hi cage up to the tree and made him go back.
he still likes singing to leon when he is in his cage. but when i take him away to put leon on the tree, butch starts panting again :-/ i want to take him out again, but i feel bad grabbing him, and he won't come out on his own, even if his big door is open and leon is on the other end of a long perch (which i tried this morning). and leon seems to be a little aggressive with the singing at times.
this is one corner of my room with my tree (and the nearly invisible shower curtain square under it!) and the 2 hanging cages and leons cage on the table. butch is now kept on the left hook and the spare cage is above leon's cage.
and this is the other corner with my fishies and newt tank... and the mirror that butch crash landed above and landed behind my dresser last time he got out)
ok, now for the pics!! even though it looks like the are killing each other in some of them, they were actually singing to each other and tapping beaks and "feeding" (?) each other
and now for the video
butch does love leon, but you can see how leon is a little 'aggressive' with his singing.
and i still think butch has some english budgie in him!!!!

the first time I grabbed him and the second time I got him on the perch and put my other hand at the other end to he didn't go back, more pics tomorrow!
