butch comes out with Leon on the tree every day and they love singing to each other and following each other. i have noticed that it looks like butch (5+ years old) is feeding leon (1 year old). i thought that he wasnt really feeding leon until i got closer and noticed that he was feeding leon and there was seed mush in leon's beak. leon for a while now has been eating less seed- but the same small amount a day. i think its because butch is feeding him. leon is still happy and healthy and everything is normal. is this ok that butch loves leon so much that he is feeding him? is there a seed mash i can make to feed leon seeming that he likes it more than the seeds?

well, there isnt really anything wrong with butch feeding leon, not unless butch falls sick at some point.
however, i actually am starting to wonder if Lauraloveliness is correct and maybe leon is a girl lol
i'm not sure there is much you can do regarding finding a food he'd prefer more. i mean, its a behaviour thing.
just monitor their weights, especially butch's. if you notice one or both are getting too skinny, then you might want to try to keep them separate if it deems fit.

well even if leon is a girl, he will still be Leon i just think he is a boy because he had a pink nose when i got him (was never exposed to birds) and then when he was exposed to butch, he got blue on his nose. and he never has gotten that brown cere female breeding condition and never laid an egg (not like they all do) butch is a good weight and eats a lot, probably extra to feed leon. leon doesnt seem like he is loosing weight and now that i put his game board in with the bell and food tray, he is eating more

if no one is losing weight, then it's fine for him to feed leon
