Hello Everyone, I have to repost this as I don't know what happened to it. I know I edited it last and then published it. NExt thing I know its gone! On Friday my friend Cyndi (Uneecowrn on here) came to my house to hang out and she cut bandits wings for me for free (She cuts her cockatiels wings) Well after she cut bandits wings he was let loose from her hands to see if he can still fly strongly or not. He can glide down but not fly high so I told him to step up on the rag covered finger. The rag fell off and he stepped up on my bare finger. I was anticipating him to bite me but Bandit didn't. I was actually shocked so I took a chance and gave him scritches. He was in absolute LOVE. I scritched the back of his neck / head and even his wings for a full 5 minutes before we put him back in his cage as we were going to go swimming. I got to touch Bandit for the first time. I got to give Bandit scritches for the first time. I got to tell Bandit to step up on bare fingers for the first time. I got to bond with Bandit for the first time. It might not seem like a big deal to you guys. When I got Bandit (August 1st 2012) I was told he was a hand-fed hand-tamed Baby 4 month old lovebird. He was put in my hands at the pet store but i had to close my hands (right there should have been my sign that he isn't a hand-tamed baby) he was trying to escape and was TERRIFIED. SO this is a huge accomplishment for me and Bandit. I been trying for a YEAR straight to scritch him and hold him. Now he always stepped up on bare fingers but never stayed for long was on there and BAM off. I am extremely happy and he is extremely happy. Nope bandit was never trained / tamed. he would step up but wouldn't stay on my finger longer or let me touch him. he's my spoiled rotten brat. I've had him for a year now and I can't believe int hat year I gained trust enough to touch him. Granted he is still a huge big brat bird and loves to bite when he can.
