Here is Paris, my little mischief maker. She is a very sweet (to me) and cuddly and playful and acrobatic! I just love her to bits! And this is Sembre. She is a quiet, calm, sweet girl. She loves head rubs from almost anyone if they ask respectfully. I love spending time with her, it is very relaxing to play with her.
This is Bailey Bird. She is also a really sweet girl who never meets a stranger and loves attention! And this is Sierra, my little disabled tiel who was given me to care for by a local pet store. She had been repeatedly bred without proper care and her wing was broken and not cared for. Anyway, she is very sweet, but a little shy. She loves scritches!
And last but not least, Alex. She is also very friendly to most people but only likes attention from one person at a time. DISCLAIMER: Alex is outside without a harness because she CANNOT fly due to arthritis. Please don't take your birds outside without a harness or in a cage.

They are beautiful I love bailey, and Sierra looks spoiled to death! She's like "it's time for my scratches now!!!" Your macaw is precious as well as Paris! Paris is one of my favorite birds I want them

Macaws are way out of my price range, but how are they for pets? I just saw one on Craigslist and I'm in love! I have only had parakeets so that would be not appropriate for me to get such a big bird. Maybe in the future

I can't speak in general but my macaw is very easy to care for. She plays well independently but loves attention too. She is not at all aggressive (although most macaws will bluff).
But, she is expensive! Her cage, toys, food etc. is much more than you would pay for small birds.
And, she can be very loud! It isn't often but if she is in the mood to scream it is not pleasant!
Overall, she is a great pet and I very happy to have her!

gosh, the bigger parrots are so beautiful i got to hold a cuddly rescued cockatoo at a fair and i didn't want to give her back! my goal is to get a grey sometime in my life. i just don't want to have to get some parrots in between to get used to bigger birds, i want to go from keets to big parrot, but i won't sometimes i wish i would get rid of the 10 fish tanks and get some more birds, but i like the fish and i would feel bad having a screaming parrot in the same room as the little ones! i still will continue to look at parrots in need that i cant get

Aww, she is beautiful!!
And there is nothing wrong with going from littles to bigs as long as you do your research and feel prepared. Greys are awesome birds, I would love to have one some day! But I just love birds, they are all great!
