I was having a rough day a couple days ago and the last thing i wanted to do was go outside and feed my birds but it had to be done. When i went to the aviary my birds sensed my pain and flew to me and tried to calm me dpown. it was a really special moment. I love my birds so much.

I have days where I don't feel up to it but once I'm out there I'm falling head over heels in love with them again and again

Doesn't it make you feel like there you have a purpose in life? Birds are seriously the best! They keep me smiling.

All of the passion was sucked out of me until recently and I didn't have the energy to even think about birds. Then I just sit back and watch them. See all of their little personalities, watch them fly, watch them forage etc. It's amazing. They're amazing! I feel like I've finally found myself again

Yeah I know what you guys mean. Sunny is the light of my life. She's hardly any work at all and I'm happy to let her have complete freedom in my condo in exchange for having to clean up after her. It's comforting to have her around while I go about with my everyday stuff. Yes, sometimes she is a pain in the #@!%^@!, like when I'm trying to make a card (I make greeting cards as a hobby) and she is chewing up my embellishments. But when I'm at home, we are always together, and our nightly ritual is me reading on my bed while she gets scritches and cuddles from me. I love it when I call out to her because I can't find her and she responds with a chirp to say "I'm here mommy" because she knows I'm looking for her. Sometimes she could be right in front of me but I still can't see her (amazing how a small bird can just blend in with the surroundings) so when she sees me looking around, she would still go "chirp!" to tell me where she is.

That's so sweet Annie. I'm glad you can find a source of comfort with Sunny.
