Here is a pic of the babies. They were so young the third egg hasn't hatched yet. One of them will be mine if there is a male amongst them. They are being DNA tested next week. They are three weeks old now. I have been promised some new pics soon. Attachments:

Welcome to the forum!
The parents and babies and really cute. Im excited to see pics of the babies and their current age. Baby birds grow very fast. They generally ween around 8-!0 weeks. I hope one of them is a male, they are really good singers.

Yes, I'm hoping one of the red eyes is a male, but I read somewhere today that 66% of them are female.

I have a couple of questions. Both mum and dad are Lutino pied. Does that fact increase the likelihood of getting a male? Secondly, this is probably a dumb question, but are certain types of male cockatiels better talkers and singers than others? My bird that recently died was cinnamon pied I think. He was a very good talker and whistler. Even if the new one is half as good as he was, I will be very happy

The dad is a pied and the mom is a lutino. All lutinos from this pair will be male. Talking abilities are different for every individual. You will have to teach him to talk. Younger birds that havent learned to whistle yet are better at learning to talk than older birds that know how to whistle but that doesnt mean they cant learn to talk as well.

Ahhhh great. You have cheered me up. Two out of the three chicks have the red eyes, so that means they are Lutino yes? If so two will be male I presume?
As for talking, do you mean that it's best for me to teach it words to speak before I teach it to whistle tunes?
