you CAN pet them if the quills are down. but most of them arent fans of being held or picked up or pet, theyre kinda a standoffish pet. i love poke a roo but she is our most hands off pet. shes very skittish and old so we just let her live out her retirement in peace sometimes she interacts with me and i can feed her mealworms by hand and she tries to climb in my hand to see if i got more lol i will have to show you photos of this, she really is cute lol in her own odd way

I have two dwarfs and its false that they all stay small...my ruby looks like she swallowed another bunny!!! Shadow does have an attitude but Ruby is a sweetie. Not as soft as my rexes were though!

Casey: she is so cute! is she an albino? they look cool but i dont think i would want one. did you just wake up one day and say 'i want a hedgehog'? cinnamonbits: do you have just dwarfs or netherland dwarfs? i heard lops have the best temperaments, that why i got that kind. mines mother had a mind of her own, my breeder said, so mine does also but can be really sweet sometimes which makes up for it! i really do want a rex! i would pet it all the time

actually, she was our friend's hedgie. our friend travels a lot and didnt have the time to take care of her so she asked if we would. so thats why we have her. not a pet i would have got, theyre cute, but not my type of pet, but i love poke a roo all the same. shes a different kind of pet.
