so now that the fids are in separate cages i am so confused. i like putting the cages next to each other but then they are all weird when i separate them. when i train, they are now scared of me and lenny just flew to the side of the cage then flew out of the door of the cage. butch now sits facing me on the perch instead of back wards like normal. he is also not eye pinning which makes it harder. i dont know how long i should let them be before training again or if i should keep the cages next to each other, in the same room, or in separate rooms
????????????????????????????????????????
what do i do???? just yesterday when they were together lenny would come on my finger and everything, it makes me sad and i feel like i have to start over again

just give them a day to settle, sometimes a change in their environment can set them off and feel a bit uncomfortable. in time they should be back on track

i think my guys are ok with the cages, now its just them not being in the same room when training. i think butch is doing a little better but her doesnt have as much confidence, because he cant watch lenny do something now, and when he is grabbed for wing clipping, that fear of hands last longer with him. yesterday he was all confused and was looking up every where like he was going to jump on the side of the cage and he did so i just let him be.

its good to let them set the pace, they might feel more confident together. mango is like that. if munch comes over, mango might and usually thats the only time he comes to us on his own

lenny seems to be getting used to being alone when training, butch is ok but is still unsure when we are starting. i might try putting the cages next to each other for his training. but that might go wrong if lenny starts to sing, then butch will pay no attention to me. i am still experimenting with the cages and the training

give it some more time first before trying them back together, as they might still be settling

i think i will wait. once butch starts eye pinning in the session, things go smoother and he is not so scared

some birds can take a week or two to adapt to change, or if theyre skittish like mango they can take a few months!
