Awwwww, what a beautiful story with a good ending. I swear, only you could have done such an amazing job. I would not have known what to do. It was meant to be. It is all because of you that he is alive today. And it's cute that he gave you guys one last look before flying off. Who knows? Maybe he'll still come back to visit every now and then.

Marc, I like the way you explained that you gave your neighbour all the instructions he needed so he could "grow" the sparrow correctly as if it's a plant. LOL I got a chuckle out of that but you're right. The sparrow needs to be "grown" and nurtured correctly. Good luck to your neighbour!

thanks i have yet to see him come back, but last night i did have a dream that he was out there with the others... it seemed real but i havent seen him yet. i hope he is alright out there.

mortality rate is high as it is with juveniles... but he does have the best chances. who knows maybe he is out there with the other sparrows.

i was thinking about him today i still really miss him. i think of all the wild babies i've raised, him and vulture touched me the most. especially buddy.

i once got attached to a pigeon that i had for a day and it died it was super sad.
