they had a 4 hour play date yesterday and butch was singing to lenny i am a little worried about lenny though because he has be kind of puffed and sleepy but i looked online and they said sick birds cant balance on one foot and he was sleeping on one foot yesterday. and he has been eating and drinking and he did have some lettuce (he likes it in the morning rather than night) and his poos look fine and he has been grooming. my guess is that he is cold because my house is kind of cold so i put a space heater in my room. and he might be tired out from all the extra training because that is typical him to get worn out and not want to do anything

it could be the cold, but is he molting? molting birds do tend to sleep a bit more than normal.
what you can do as a "just in case" thing is put some cinnamon, garlic powder (NOT garlic salt), and ginger powder on his seed. it's called the spice remedy. a great expert from another forum always recommended it and it does work. it boosts the immune system.

well he has some pin feathers on his head but thats all. i but him in the living room room yesterday which is the warmest room and by night he was not puffy. so i think he was just cold

sounds like both cold and molting. if there's pins, its a molt, even if a small one. it's been very chilly here too

and i think with the sleeping might be boredom and he is 6, i remember once pumble started coming out a lot, he would sleep all day too

actually, budgies today start slowing down at that age, do they not? they're old around 10ish? older birds do sleep more

i am guessing that that is a possibility for lenny because he is around 6, but we really dont know his true age. last night i let lenny have a sleep over with butch and they did good of course later today he will go back and playdates will be more rare because i wont be on vacation but he will still see him when he comes out
