They had him at The Bird Shop. He has very angry. A kookaburra isn't a hookbill like other parrots you're more familiar with. They have that flat beak and it slaps down on you like a mousetrap.

I briefly cared for a pair of Hahn's macaws that I took in as an emergency foster, I'm surprised you didn't find the Noble loud! If you can handle those you can handle a blue crowned easily Have you seen a Hahn's or Noble in person HaimovFids? They're very small, no larger than some of the arantinga conures! The birds with the big beaks tend to be more gentle from my experience, it's the large white cockatoos you've got to watch out for. Like pincers!

No, I haven't seen them in person. I have seen macaws and cockatoo and other bird species at the bird shop in the flea market (that's were I buy my cockatiels from). I'll take pics of the place next time I go. Have you ever owned a Hahn's macaw?

A goffins almost pried my fingernail off because I had a piece of broccoli on it. ;|
Really? I only say that because I will much rather take a loud, maybe like once or twice a day scream, rather than a constant screaming. It's so helpful having you here Daisy. You've had lots of different birds.

I was a foster home which helps plus I have my aviaries which allows me to keep my budgies and tiels etc. I get people dump quite a few on me as well but I've stopped doing it because of the heartache The Hahn's macaws had been in the worst pet shop I know local to me for 4 years and my friend had had enough. You may know her as CaptainHowdy on other forums. I had just been given a couple of grand that had been saved up for me since I was born. I had bought furniture and new bird stuff with it but I decided to spend the last grand on getting them out of that shop so CaptainHowdy could have them. They both had psittacosis and unfortunately one passed away from something else further down the line but she still has Reva. They were a delight to foster but oh my gosh could they scream!

Oh no, it's coming back again. I figured the BCC would be more practical for me anyways. I just need to push the craving aside for now, but baby fever always happens to me when spring starts coming. Birds get nesty, I get new bird fever.
