let him eat the millet if thats all he will eat. millet is very healthy for sick birds, its extra calories and protein and both are needed for sick birds

aaah this reminds me of my 1st tiel kooki he got some sort of string around his foot and i never noticed it till it got tight and his foot got swollen from it, it used to take me forever to treat his foot because he has soooo stubborn but what made it easier for me is that i used to cover his face and i would hold him gently and my mum was around helping me we had to apply the cream the doctor gave up with a Q tip but the only thing that made it easier was covering his face

thats why stringy rope toys scare me i have my doubts if lenny is getting better. he is still puffed and he really isnt eating that much-or pooping much. and his poops are really small.

i would give him as much millet as he will eat for now, and make sure you let the vets know thats not good. he may need a different antibiotic or some other kind of care. did they do blood work on him? blood work might be able detect liver or kidney problems. both can cause foot problems (kidney disease called gout can cause a LOT of foot issues)
