after traveling like an hour to the shelter... i got my 4 meets!!! 
not as many as last time but there was nice colors
there was 4 tiels there too 
i wish i could have taken one!
and ways... there was and mother and son also adopting keets- they took the one that looked like Pumble before i got to
and they didnt seem excited about getting the keets and they didnt bring a cage or anything with them! they were not prepared and the employee thanked my for bringing cages when the other people were gone 
and adopting was not the only good thing i did~~ i also donated 5lbs of parakeet seed and instead of paying the suggested $10 adopting fee per bird (it used to be 20), i paid $15 per bird ($60 total) and of course i gave 4 birds a home!
i havent named them yet because other than the grey/mauve one, they are all about 4-6 months, judging by the dark irises (and faint, faint baby bars), so i dont really know the gender yet but i am pretty sure all will be male but the olive one
onward!!!
this is the yellow face recessive pied- s/he is missing a tip of toe and the other is like 'stubbed' and the nail is very short, so he has trouble climbing the cage bars to get to perches. in the process of catching her, her tail feathers were ripped out, but he is fine. he is a little nervous like the grey, but they should come out of they shell
his back between his wings is a nice dark teal and the rest of him, except the flights, are light yellow
this is the oldest (white irises) of the 4. he is the more timid and was panting at times in the car. he is more a grey in person
he opaline too!!
another young one~ i believe a sky blue dilute greywing (?). he was on a perch in the shelter with others when the lady was catching them and i told her which one and she pointed to them and everyone flew off but him this one and the olive one will more than likely be the first ones tamed.
leon is like him but more white! this was the first in the car to start singing
(and yes casey, i got an olive!!)
olive is not my favorite color in the budgie world, i was looking at a green pied female instead
what made me change my mind was (with the help of my friend convincing me) the fact that when the other peoples birds were being caught, this little gal was just sitting on a branch, pretty relaxed. and when the lady tried to get he in her finger she didnt want to and walked away, but she didnt freak out (aka- i liked her behavior and temperament) so i got her!
i can pet her belly. i tried to get her on my finger, but she was holding onto the perch with all her might!
there is some opaline (the camera didnt really catch it) but look at that tail its such a cool color!
i am going to join the cages when they are trained, which will actually be a little over 3 times the size!
i have a lot of work to do!!
