names about snow keep popping up in my mind too! she just has that color scheme on her my friend (the one that came with me to the shelter (not the one with the keets) wants to name one "cupcake butt" now that she saw mangos full name Wow they are stunning Sorry for the dumb question, when a parakeet has a blue noes, is that a boy or girl? it means they are boys females have white/ blue tinted noses that turn brown (and sometimes crusty looking) when they are in breeding condition, and males noses get brighter (like the grey one) when they are in condition.

Toby!! he was such a pretty color Haimov~ that is called "opaline". Pumble was opaline and so is the grey one and the olive one i would make a budgie mutation thread but there would be too many! my favorite, thought it is VERY rare, is the "half sider" parakeet. it is when the embreos (i think) fused and it is half of each base color half sider parakeetanother half sider

this morning i was feeding Bowie on a perch (he was struggling on the side of the cage so i took a perch and he got on). the big door was open and he was pretty close to the opening when i was feeding him and then he took off and flew out! he got behind a chair and i couldnt grab him and then he landed on the floor and after a little while he stepped on the perch very slowly to go back. i was happy that he got on the perch to go back i have to clean them today. i think i will bring then onto the bathroom to do that so there is less chance of them getting behind things if they get out
